“Microscopically, you’re very busy.” That’s what an old friend told me about recovering from covid when I fretted that I wasn’t getting enough done. She’s right, of course.
The notorious Paxlovid bounce hasn’t been as bad for me as it is for a lot of people. I’m still testing negative. My cough came back, but it has a cleaning-up, end-of-infection kind of feel. The fatigue is the kicker. Covid fatigue feels…thicker?…than the intermittent fatigue I’ve had all my life. I don’t know how long I’ll have this thicker covid fatigue. The news keeps reminding me that forever is a possibility, though it doesn’t feel likely.
Despite all that, my household hosted my sister-in-law’s household for Yule.
